3 Days in Bordeaux ❤️

We spent the first 3 days of our trip in Bordeaux France eating fun French food and wine tasting. Above is in the charming wine-obsessed town of Saint Emilion,

Europe was having a heat wave when we arrived. It was 100F when we stepped off the plane and it felt HOT taking the 30 minute tram to downtown Bordeaux.

Lily, Morgan, Liam, and Steven have joined me for an early birthday celebration on a trip to France and Spain with a focus on walking the Camino. I turn 70 in December and I hope to celebrate all year, beginning here, with my beloved’s. It is a true birthday gift that they all want to do this with me!

Lunch at the “biodynamic” winery, Clos Systey. The is a mother-daughter business, and the winemaker is the mother, Sylvie Dulong.

According to the winemaker, Sylvie Dulong, “Everything is connected: the stars, the planet, the plants, you, and us. Cultivating the land consciously for greater vitality and biodiversity is a necessity: this is biodynamics.
